What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, non-invasive healing technique that focuses on the head, spine, and sacrum. By working to enhance the body's natural healing capabilities and integrate the central nervous system, BCST can have a subtle yet powerful effect on the whole body.
With its roots in osteopathy, craniosacral therapy involves precise hand movements on the head and spine to calm and stabilize the brain and spinal cord, leading to benefits throughout the body. The craniosacral system operates continuously to support our wellbeing, much like our breathing and circulation, although it remains beneath our conscious awareness.
In BCST, we believe that everyone has an innate capacity for health and wellbeing. However, it's easy to lose touch with this due to underlying feelings of discomfort or dis-ease. BCST can help reconnect you with this inner vitality and sense of health.
Think of your body as an instrument capable of performing a wide range of functions, and BCST as the tuner. By making small adjustments to the tension of the instrument strings and aligning the intervals between their tones, we can help bring your body into harmony.
Through its direct impact on the nervous system, BCST can integrate the deep aspects of the body, mind, and spirit, leading to physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Rather than just treating symptoms, BCST aims to address the root cause of any issues, helping you feel whole and vibrant.
About Me
Hi, My name is Hugo and my journey with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) began with a series of coincidences that led me to a profound realization about the power of healing.
I met a mother at a physiotherapy practice who shared her story of how BCST helped her son, who had cerebral palsy and was unable to communicate with her in any meaningful way.
The physiotherapist told me how, after a few sessions, the son was able to use his eyes to communicate his preferences to his mother. This remarkable story touched me deeply and sparked my curiosity to learn more about BCST.
I dove into the practice by taking a BCST training course and immersing myself in the practice. As I continued to learn and practice, I not only discovered the potential of BCST to help others but also experienced its benefits firsthand. I had been suffering from TMJ dysfunction for years and had struggled to find lasting relief.
But, after receiving BCST sessions from different practitioners, I noticed a significant improvement in my symptoms. The chronic pain and tension in my jaw dissipated and I was able to fully open my mouth without discomfort for the first time in years.
I am deeply grateful for the discovery of BCST and for the opportunity to share the benefits of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with others in Perth and beyond.
